My First Blog
Well, I've been an avid blog reader for a month now (summer vacation for a teacher lends itself to this hobby...), and I decided I should start my own. I had a great idea for a blog name the other day in my car but I've lost it now.
More later, I know I'll be thinking about this while I'm on vacation next week.

Hey, what do you have against gourds?! ;-)
I don't have anything against gourds, just against EATING them. I have a gourd t-shirt (I'll have to post a pic of that), I like to display gourds on my porch and in my home in October and November, and, sliced, I like to put them on my eyes when they are puffy.
I do not like their flavor, though. I'm so glad you asked, it gave me a chance to vent a little. :-)
Truth be told, I didn't realize a cucumber -- hence the beloved pickle -- was a type of gourd!
Oh how I love the sour sting of a crisp pickle. Mmmmm.
And I certainly wouldn't wear pickles glasses.

No pickles glasses? Darn. But at least you like to eat them.
